Been busy lately. I’m working on my wordpress site so hope to have a few stories posted there soon. My first draft of my Quantum Bang is finished and off to the alpha reader to see how far off the mark I may be. Never used an alpha reader before so looking forward to the experience. It’s my first time writing a story this long and first time in this fandom. But I’m not going to worry about it until after November.

Speaking of November I’ve been pulling my hair out. Rough Trade’s nano prompt is Not Quite Human. I literally could not make myself come up with an idea while I was writing QB. Now that it’s finished I have 3.

1. Tony DiNozzo is exposed to a Pegasus Virus while at Bethesda with the plague. The virus is mutated by the plague and ends up rewriting his DNA to turn him into an ancient. It also infects anyone else with any form of the ata gene. He, and others infected, start getting some of the abilities that the ancients had. When they figure it out can the SGC get ahead of it and keep the program secret? People are disappearing and NCIS is investigating.

2. In the US those with powers must be registered and rated. Certain abilities, such as technokinesis, telepathy, etc, that are considered a security risk are required to wear armbands or collars to identify them. Above a certain rating they are conscripted by the government for their own protection. Abby is a technopath who was conscripted as a child and raised to belief in service to the state and she wears her collar with pride. But Tim McGee is the only other gifted on the team. He’s a level 6 telepath. So while he is properly registered, he was a level below conscription service since level 6 and below require touch. He’s worn his gloves and body suit ever since he tested positive. Actually, he is level 9 and he has locked it off and kept it hidden as long as he can. When a terrorist named Ari Haswari tries to bomb a building in DC, Tim makes the only decision he can and uses his abilities to help everyone in the building escape. Now a hunt is on in DC because it is illegal for any Telepath level 7 and above to enter DC limits. Everyone is after him, and to his surprise it is Tony and Gibbs who try to help. Everyone thinks they are norms, but Tony is an empath and Gibbs a precog. They’ve been helping the gifted escape for years, and now it’s time to help one of their own.

3. Everyone knows about Sky High. The best and the brightest are invited to learn. But the Beacon is just as good, even though Principle Argent is kinda creepy and seems to have his own agenda. The Coach is weird in a good way, even if he is obsessed with beating the other school at Save the Citizen. And so what that Stiles got classified as Hero Support. It’s not like he’s crazy enough to want to put himself in front of the firing squad. After all, self preservation is one of his virtues, isn’t it? But when his best friend Scott suddenly powers up and leaves him behind, it’s time for him to decide if he is ready to let the world understand the power of the Spark.

Oh well, I will plot them all and see which one will inspire me the most.
